Anna studied music at Durham University as a pianist and cellist. She then studied post-graduate vocal studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Rudolf Piernay and the Royal Northern College of Music with Barbara Robotham before embarking on a solo career of opera and recital with many UK touring companies. She sang with the Royal Opera House extra chorus, BBC singers and St. Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, as well as being a frequent soloist for oratorio throughout the UK.
Anna teaches singing at St. Paul’s Girls’ School, works privately as a vocal coach and is the founder of the Fulham Belles Ladies Choir and the Roehampton Ladies Choir.
Anna specialises in after-dinner entertaining with a series of satirical songs about “life” such as The Tiger Mum and a Tribute to British Airways amongst others. She is also the organiser of Music by the Bridge, a fundraising concert series for families, based at All Saints Church, Fulham.
She and husband Tim have 3 teenage daughters and live in Fulham.
Helly was a choral scholar at Keble College, Oxford University. She has performed as a soloist with The Elysian Singers (Bach - St John Passion, Bach - St Matthew Passion, Handel - Dixit Dominus, Purcell - Dido and Aneas), Chelsea Camerata (Bach - B Minor Mass, Bach Motets) and was an original member of Philip Stopford’s Ecclesium Choir. Other solo performances have included the Faure Requiem (Pie Jesu), Mendelssohn - Hear my prayer, Bach/Gounod - Ave Maria, Rutter Requiem (Pie Jesu), Delibes - The Flower Duet, Mozart - Laudate Dominum, Allegri’s Miserere, Haydn - The Creation, Monteverdi - Vespers, Schubert - Mass in G, Bach - Magnificat, and Handel’s Messiah. She has performed as a soloist at numerous weddings, baptisms and funerals, and she sings regularly at St Luke’s Church, Chelsea.
She lives in Hammersmith with her husband, Jeremy, and their young daughter.
